Dr. Munir is heavily focused on outcomes research in the areas of left atrial appendage occlusion, sudden cardiac arrest and cardiac implantable electronic devices. He has published more than 100 peer reviewed papers and has presented his work at the annual sessions of Heart Rhythm Society, American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association and European Society of Cardiology. His work has been featured in leading cardiology journals such as Heart Rhythm, Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology, Journal of American Heart Association, JAMA Cardiology, Europace, American Heart Journal, JACC EP, Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology among others.
Dr. Munir is also a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist who is trained in the management of cardiac rhythm disorders. He has a special clinical interest in device implantations including conduction system pacing, device extractions, left atrial appendage occlusion and ablation procedures.
