    Collapse Overview
I am a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellow at the University of California Davis Medical Center. Previously, I completed a General Surgery residency at the Boston University (BU) Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, Boston Medical Center focusing on trauma and acute care surgery, alimentary tract and abdominal surgery, oncologic and endocrine surgery, vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, and surgical critical care. During that time, I pursued a two-year, research fellowship in the BU School of Medicine Primary Care Academic Fellowship Program funded by a National Institutes of Health Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award. While participating in the program, I earned a Master of Science in Health Services and Systems Research with honors at the BU School of Public Health.

My research objectives are to study the impact of national and state health policies on surgical outcomes, as well as to improve surgical safety. My projects have resulted in several publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and national and international presentations. I am optimistic that my research will continue to offer new approaches to elucidating effects of health policy on surgical disease management and enable me to provide optimal, evidence-informed care to the patients I serve.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
